Altadena Talks: A Community Platform for Voices, Resources, and Recovery

In the wake of the Eaton Fire that devastated parts of Altadena in January 2025, many residents have been left searching for answers, support, and a way to share their stories. Out of that need, the Altadena Talks Podcast was created as a platform for the community to come together.

Hosted by community advocate Brian Baccus, the podcast is dedicated to sharing daily resources, uplifting local voices, and helping residents navigate the difficult road to recovery.

The goal is simple:
give people a place to speak.

Many residents have been displaced from their homes, separated from familiar routines, and struggling with the emotional impact of the disaster. The podcast provides an open space where people can talk about what they’re experiencing—from housing challenges to mental health struggles and everything in between.

Altadena Talks is not just about broadcasting information. It’s about community connection.

Residents are encouraged to share resources they discover, including local donation centers, volunteer opportunities, and support programs that can help families rebuild their lives.

The program is produced Monday through Friday, bringing regular updates and conversations that keep the community informed and engaged.

As the recovery process continues, Altadena Talks Foundation remains committed to ensuring that every voice in Altadena has a place to be heard.
