Community as Infrastructure: Why Nonprofits Must Start Designing for Relationships

Community cannot be reduced to a platform. A Slack group is not a community. A membership portal is not a community. An email list is not a community. Those may be containers for community, but they are not the thing itself. Community begins when people are not just receiving information, but building relationships inside the experience.
